Finally, New Mac OS X Lion comes with Myanmar Unicode fonts with Keyboard Layout, I’m so proud that Apple recognized our mother language 🙂

Be sure to disable (no need to remove) both “Myanmar MN” and “Myanmar Sangam MN” fonts if they are already installed in your font book (Mac OS 10.7 and older already installed) otherwise you will have a conflict between Zawgyi and these Unicode fonts. Download Free Font Myanmar Text. Font name: Myanmar Text (18 reviews). Temporarily download this font to a printer or other output device to help print content. In the Font Book app, click the Add button in the Font Book toolbar, locate and select a font, then click Open. Drag the font file to the Font Book app icon in the Dock. Double-click the font file in the Finder, then click Install Font in the dialog that appears. When you install a font, Font Book automatically validates or checks it for errors.

If you want to change Myanmar Unicode Keyboard Layout in Mac OS X Lion, Please follow below steps…

Step1. Go to System Preferences from Apple icon

Step2. Click Language and Text

✔ Tick the check mark Keyboard & Character Viewto view keyboard layouts

Step3. Click Input Sources

✔ Tick the check mark to Myanmar -QWERTY

Step4. For Keyboard shortcut (command+space bar) for switching between English & Myanmar Qwerty Keyboard layout

✔ Tick the check mark Select the previous input source
